No beggars in singapore ?

This is an interesting question since when we travel all around asia, a crowd of misfortunates try to get some coins from the rich frequent flyers tourists.
However you will not have this kind of feeling in Singapore. Not only because of the law, it is also a question of pride in this country to give work, even very humble, to every one. In mac Do's you see 75 or even 85 granma's working, cleaning.
The only beggars i met are westeners, trying their luck around here...
